Lines & Asides was the original incarnation of Try, Try Again. This was meant to be the pilot episode until Mary decided to expand it into a half-hour comedy series when she met her mentor, Jerry Perzigian.
This short film/web pilot was an official selection in the NYLA International Film Festival and screened at the The Producer’s Club in NYC, an official selection at New Hope Film Festival, where it screened in New Hope, PA, and an Official Selection in the Big Apple Film Festival screening in Tribeca in 2014. Not bad for Mary’s first film and film directorial debut. The film was also part of the market at Palm Springs Shortsfest in 2014.
